Liz Marr is an award-winning food and nutrition writer and recipe developer. A master’s-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with an undergraduate degree in clothing and textiles, Liz specializes in family foodways, nutrition, food safety, and fiber crafts. She and her mother, Helen Ruth Poss Marr, are co-authors of the The Richest Soil Grows the Deepest Roots, a compelling historical memoir that intertwines her mother's memories growing up on her family farm in the Missouri River bottoms of Platte County during the Great Depression and World War II with her family saga spanning five generations. Liz has written on a wide range of topics ranging from scientific and behaviorial substantiation of dietary guidance to feedsack fabrics and dresses.
